Traitors Producers Tease "Clever" New Twists for Series 5

The Traitors boss just revealed that fresh twists are on the way in Series 5.

Speaking to Radio Times on the BAFTA TV Awards 2026 red carpet, Stephen Lambert, CEO of The Traitors production company Studio Lambert, teased what fans can expect in the upcoming fifth UK series.

“We’re always trying to find clever ways to make the show even fresher and more interesting,” he said. “So yeah, obviously, there will be new things in the next season.”

While Lambert didn’t elaborate on any upcoming twists, he made one thing clear: the Secret Traitor won’t be making a comeback.

“It's something we like doing, but I think a lot of the pleasure of the show is the audience knowing who the Traitors are. I think if you take that away, it gets a bit frustrating,” he explained.

The Traitors 2026 Schedule

The much-anticipated Traitors UK Series 5 will begin filming later this summer. The BBC also confirmed the fifth season will air in early next year — but not before The Celebrity Traitors Series 2, which is currently filming in Scotland and will air in Autumn 2026.
