The Traitors UK is returning for another thrilling season of deception, paranoia, and those signature cloak-clad twists – with the BBC confirming Series 5 is officially on the way.
The show’s renewal came soon after the electrifying Series 4, which wrapped in January 2026 with Traitors Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby making history as the first duo to win together, splitting the £95,750 prize pot during a finale that more than 10 million viewers watched.

The BBC is yet to confirm an exact premiere, but expect Series 5 to stick to tradition with a January 2027 launch on BBC One and iPlayer.
Series 4 started on New Year's Day 2026, and earlier seasons have consistently arrived in early January.

Claudia Winkleman, who has anchored the show since its 2022 debut, will return once again to guide the chaos with her iconic fringe in tow.
Meanwhile, Stephen Lambert, who heads the production company behind The Traitors, recently teased what won’t be happening in Series 5 — the Secret Traitor twist.
“It wasn't something we wanted to keep going with,” he said. “It was a clever way of signalling we were doing something different … There have been other shows which have done something similar, where the audience didn't know who 'the mole' was … the trouble is you're completely a victim of the edit, and that doesn't feel very satisfying.”
