These Celebs Turned Down The Celebrity Traitors
First up, Line of Duty star Anna Maxwell Martin. Appearing on ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show, the actress revealed she turned the reality show down in 2025 because it films too late. “They’re not leaving that castle until it gets dark … I want to be in bed by 8pm.”
Richard Osman, the author and former Pointless host, confessed he'd only play if guaranteed a Traitor spot. "I couldn’t bear it if I were a Faithful,” he told Good Morning Britain.
Money expert Martin Lewis also passed, blaming his packed schedule. The Apprentice star Karren Brady was another to say no. “I’ve never seen it,” she said, adding that she doesn’t “have the time.”

Tennis ace Andy Murray and mum Judy Murray also declined, with no detailed reasons. Finally, Oasis singer Liam Gallagher rebuffed the offer for the first series, quipping, "I got asked. I don’t do celebrity." Though recent buzz suggests he might reconsider for series two.
Drag Race judge Michelle Visage also turned down Series 2 due to schedule conflicts, and revealed that her “biggest concern” about joining the show is that people would “automatically assume” she’s a Traitor.
“I don't want to be voted off first because people don't have the vision that I can be something other than what I play on the telly,” she told HELLO! Magazine.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, Gavin & Stacey star Ruth Jones shut down rumours she’d be taking part, explaining that the show’s physical challenges are a red line. “I was asked about doing it. I do love the show,” Jones said. “I’d have to swim in a lake, put on a wetsuit. So I’d rather watch it. I’m not doing it.”
TV presenter Alison Hammond has long been rumoured to be taking part. However, she recently disclosed that Celebrity Traitors is “a definite no” for her. "I can’t do it, because I’m doing Bake Off … I’m so sorry, I would love to do that. I wouldn’t want to be a Traitor, though, I’d want to be a Faithful. I don’t want no stress.”
