Colton Underwood is addressing fan theories surrounding his elimination on The Traitors Season 4.
In Episode 8, he was “murdered” by fellow contestant Rob Rausch, with help from Traitor Candiace Dillard Bassett. Many viewers wondered if Colton had already suspected Rob was a Traitor, especially since the two seemed close during the game.
Colton cleared up the rumors
During an appearance on Harry Jowsey’s Boyfriend Material podcast on February 24, Colton clarified the situation, explaining that he did not have clear proof that Rob was a Traitor. However, he had started noticing things that made him question Rob’s actions.

Colton kept a notebook throughout filming to track his thoughts. Two moments stood out as suspicious.
Rob “didn’t make sense’
First, Rob cast an unexpected vote against Candiace, which felt out of place. Second, during a “dagger play,” Rob shared too much information with the entire group about having a dagger.
“It didn’t make sense,” Colton said on the podcast. He pointed out that Rob’s decision to tell everyone seemed like a way to look innocent.

“Statistically speaking, one of us has to be a Traitor… He did it for coverage,” Colton added, suggesting it was a calculated move to deflect suspicion. He admitted his doubts were growing stronger.
“If I had lasted one more episode, I think I would have started to say his name,” Colton revealed, indicating he was close to accusing Rob at the next round table.
Colton isn’t holding any grudges
Despite being betrayed, Colton does not hold a grudge. He praised Rob’s strategy, calling it “borderline genius.”
He noted that much of the online discussion fails to give Rob enough credit for how well he has played. “There was only so much that the faithful can do,” Colton said, recognizing the challenges Faithful players face against skilled Traitors.
