The Traitors US has become one of Peacock’s biggest hits, with its mix of mystery, betrayal, and big personalities making it must-watch TV.
But while the show has been a ratings smash (with millions tuning in each season), not every celeb is keen to play the game.

These StARS Turned Down The Traitors
First up is Nene Leakes, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who turned down a spot in Season 4 due to a family health crisis.
“I was asked to do Traitors — I was really excited about doing it,” Leakes said on the Humble Brag podcast in July 2025. “I couldn’t do Traitors because my son is in the hospital and he’s still in the hospital.”
Filming Wasn’t An Option
She added that joining the show wasn’t possible as filming requires going out of the country.
“My fear was committing and then having to go back to them and say, I can’t do it. So that was never going to work. Brentt was very sick. There was no way I could have committed to it.”

Bachelor alum Nick Viall also passed, confirming on an episode of his Viall Files podcast in July 2025 that he “couldn’t make it work” because he “was booked and busy” professionally.
Comedian and actor Matt Rogers also ruled out appearing on the show, admitting he was worried about getting “the villain edit.”
“I’m too easy to cut into. I will just give them so many clips that they could put together to be like, ‘This b***h,’” he said on The Viall Files in July 2025.

Rogers also revealed he was offered a spot on The Traitors Season 3 alongside his Las Culturistas podcast cohost, Bowen Yang.
“They had reached out to Bowen and I initially,” he shared. “I know what would have happened had they put Bowen and I on the same season. 100 percent one of us would have been a Traitor, and one of us would have been a Faithful. We can’t have that. That would have gotten so sad.”
Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder also shut down the idea after being approached, revealing on her podcast that she “hasn’t seen it” and doesn’t “have time for a new show.”
Speaking in January 2026, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais revealed she had been asked but gave a firm no. “I’ve been asked to do Traitors, and the answer is ‘No, thank you.’”
The Traitors US Season 5 Cast
With Season 5 confirmed and filming set to begin in the summer of 2026, the next Traitors cast will likely be revealed in the coming weeks — and despite all the rejections listed above, plenty of major names are expected to sign up.
