Real Housewives alum Candiace Dillard Bassett’s social media activity came at a hefty price.
Candiace, who recently appeared on The Traitors US Season 4, recently revealed on her Undomesticated podcast that she was fined around $35,000 by Bravo for her behavior online.
She explained that the network has strict rules in place, and her habit of “liking” certain posts on X (formerly Twitter) crossed the line, back when likes were publicly visible.

“There are rules. There are rules that come into play when it matters,” Candiace explained. “There was definitely a paralegal or somebody in business whose job it was just to watch my Twitter. And this was back when you could see people’s ‘likes.’ And I would ‘like’ s**t.’ If something sat well in my spirit, boop. Like, like, like. I was liking left, right and center. And that went against the rules.”
She continued, “I would say things — but it was mostly me affirming things that were being said.”
The fines weren't announced upfront; instead, she noticed discrepancies in her payments. “They wouldn’t even tell me. I would just get my money and be like, ‘This looks a little short.’ And then I’d call and [they would say], ‘Yeah, we took some of it,’”

Traitors Co-Star Lisa Rinna Was Also Fined
Candiace also mentioned being “asked not to use certain adjectives to describe people” and noted she'd “never known of another housewife to be fined” until hearing about a similar experience from her Traitors co-star Lisa Rinna.
In her recent memoir You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Rinna disclosed that Bravo fined her $50,000 “for opening my mouth and unleashing impulsive opinions on Instagram.”

Rinna’s admission resonated deeply with Candiace, who shared, “I remember I texted her, and I was like, ‘I feel really seen by that.’ I always kinda felt like I was alone in that.”
As Candiace learned the hard way, a simple like can come with a steep price in the world of reality TV.
