Alan Cumming is pulling back the curtain on The Traitors US.

In a recent interview with Deadline, the host was asked about some of the show’s most shocking moments and revealed that some of the juiciest drama never made it to air.

According to Cumming, who has hosted all four seasons of The Traitors US, tensions once got so heated during filming that producers had to cut footage to avoid showing contestants nearly coming to blows.

“The round tables where people have said such terrible things to each other. Some of the stuff didn’t make it to air,” the actor revealed, without naming names. “I felt I was going to have to break up a fight. The level of potential violence was huge at certain points.”

Alan’s Favorite Traitors Moments

Speaking to Deadline, The Traitors host also named Real Housewives star Phaedra Parks’ Season 2 showdown with The Bachelor’s Peter Weber as one of his favorite moments. Cumming also discussed his own “shocking” moment with Yam Yam Arocho during the infamous Season 4 banquet.

“I was so excited,” he recalled of the scene, during which he dramatically eliminated Yam Yam from the game. “I was doing something and having to be a character. Inside I was like, ‘Ah!’ … sometimes I do the most shocking things.”

Cumming is set to return to The Traitors castle as host for Season 5 — and for the show’s first-ever civilian season, which is scheduled to air in the fall of 2026.
