Traitors Final Wasn’t What It Seemed, According TV Insider

A television insider has explained why viewers should never completely trust the editing on The Traitors – after he claims many fans were allegedly misled by the way the episodes were cut.

The hit show’s fourth series finished in January, and concluded with Traitor duo Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy each walking away with £47,875 after defeating the three remaining Faithfuls – Jack Butler, Faraaz Noor, and Jade Scott.

However, TikTok creator @adamjamesonTV, who works in TV, recently claimed the final outcome was not the one the show’s editing suggested, adding that viewers had been led toward a different result throughout the episode.

In his now-viral video, Adam states, “I said before The Traitors final, do not trust the edit. Just look at what the edit kept showing you. Stephen and Jack, a true friendship, a heartfelt alliance. Stephen and Rachel continuously questioning each other's loyalty. Jack continuously questioning Rachel and also Stephen at times.”

There Was Only “One Possible Ending”

He goes on to claim that the Series 4 finale pushed viewers “towards two possible endings,” adding: “Either Stephen wins alone, or Jack manages to take out both Traitors using the other Faithfuls. Which leaves only one possible actual outcome. The real ending that the edit never showed you.”

The Traitors Editing Is A “Great Craft”

In the comments section, the TikToker further continued, “The [TikTok] channel is all about explaining how TV works. This video is in response to people thinking they’d guessed the winner based on what the edit showed them. The video explores the thought process behind editing, and the great great craft that it is.”
