The BBC has confirmed the launch date for The Claudia Winkleman Show, a brand-new celebrity chat show hosted by, you guessed it, Claudia Winkleman.

Produced by the makers of The Graham Norton Show, the series will feature lively interviews with major names from the worlds of film, TV, music, and beyond, in front of a studio audience.

The very first episode premieres on Friday, March 13, at 10:40 pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Fans got their first glimpse of the series on February 27, when the BBC dropped a first-look teaser for The Claudia Winkleman Show, in which the titular host playfully paints herself orange.

The BBC chat show will air for a total of seven episodes for its first-ever run, and the debut lineup includes Wicked and Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum, British comedy icon Jennifer Saunders, star of the stage and screen Vanessa Williams, and funny man Josh Widdicombe.

Winkleman, who recently stepped down from co-presenting Strictly Come Dancing alongside Tess Daly, continues to host The Traitors and the star-studded spinoff, The Celebrity Traitors — both of which are expected to return in early next year and Autumn 2026, respectively.

The Traitors host filled in for Graham Norton on his chat show early last year, and speaking of her venture into the chat show-verse, Winkleman said: “I can’t quite believe it, and I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity. I’m obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I’m over the moon they’re letting me try.”

Traitors Stars wish her good luck

Celebrity Traitors star and fellow chat show host, Jonathan Ross, recently commented on Claudia’s new TV venture, claiming he isn’t “threatened” by the new series as competition and wished her all the best.

“I suspect Claudia will do great. She’s such a charming person. She’s a really lovely host,” Ross told The Sun. “She knows what she’s doing. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like her. I’ll be watching along with everyone else, looking forward to it and rooting for her.”
