With The Celebrity Traitors Series 2 finale just around the corner, the castle is down to its final players and the tension is sky-high.

Episode 9 airs tonight (Thursday, October 29) at 8 pm on BBC One and iPlayer, with the grand finale following on Friday, October 30.

What Happened In Episode 8?

Episode 8 left things on a literal knife-edge — a Round Table tie between Sharon Rooney and Joanne McNally that King Kenny’s double-vote will decide — ten celebrities remain.

The Traitors trio of Maya Jama, James Acaster, and King Kenny is still intact, while the Faithfuls left standing include James Blunt, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Michael Sheen, Romesh Ranganathan, Sebastian “Bash” Croft, plus the two locked in the tie.

A Former Player Weighs In From Outside The Castle

Former Traitors UK Series 4 contestant Reece Ward — the Sheffield sweet shop assistant and Faithful who was murdered in Episode 6 of the civilian series — has shared his prediction on how Series 2 will end.

Speaking to Reality Realm, Reece is firmly in the Traitors’ camp.

BBC / Studio Lambert

“I think going into the finale, the Traitors will win,” Reece predicts. “I absolutely see a world where all three win, as a strong, unmovable trio. I think the only severe threat to the traitors at this stage of the game is Bash, but alone and with no real allies left, he’s isolated and an easy murder for the traitors to then coast to the end.”

They’ve “remodelled” the game

He continues: “I think they’ve remodelled how to play the game, especially James A, who has spent the entire series being full of pride with how little he’s had to lie; it will reflect in future games for sure.”

The Traitors’ Last Big Obstacle

Reece singles out Heartstopper actor and singer Sebastian “Bash” Croft as the sole serious remaining threat to the Traitors.

However, with “no real allies left,” Reece predicts Bash will be “an easy murder for the Traitors to coast to the end.”

Whether the Faithfuls can rally around names like Michael Sheen, James Blunt or Romesh Ranganathan in the final episodes remains to be seen. But according to someone who’s already been through the castle experience, the Traitors currently hold the stronger hand.
